About Me
Hi there! My name is Oscar Pak. I’m 23 and have nine years of filmmaking experience.
My foray into filmmaking began in 2015 with volunteering to direct documentaries and campaign videos for educational and environmental organizations in Westchester, NY, which led to paid work by the time I was a high school senior in 2019.
I’m an RIT ‘24 alum with a B.S. from the School of Individualized Study, where I studied economics, environmental sustainability, and Russian while working on student film sets each semester.
I love being outdoors, cooking, and engaging in deep conversations. I’m still figuring out my career path, but I currently work freelance in the tri-state area.

My Work
Watch the video above for a 2-minute compilation of my best work behind the camera, drone, and animation software. In addition to several narratives, much of my portfolio contains projects for environmental and educational organizations in Westchester County, NY, including Peabody Preserve Outdoor Classroom, Hudson Valley Writers Center, TaSH Farmers Market, NYSERDA, and Sustainable Westchester.

For video, I primarily use a Sony a6300 and Sony A7III with Sony G lenses and Canon L lenses, a Canon C100 for documentaries, a DJI Mavic Pro drone, and a Zoom H6 field recorder with a Sennheiser MKH 416 mic for audio.
For video stabilization, I love to use a weighted gimbal made by ProAm USA (no batteries required).
For photo, I mostly use a Canon 5D Mark II, a Rolleiflex 2.8F Planar, and my iPhone 13 Pro (set to RAW capture, not HEIC).
